How to Stop Heart Palpitations Naturally

Even though the heart beats at the rate of 72 to 80 per minute in a state of rest, it goes up the moment a person engages in physical activity. When you are running, the pulse rate may be 140 to 160 per minute, which in a state of rest would be a danger signal. The pulse rate also goes up after a meal, particularly if it is heavy. But if the pulse rate goes beyond the normal in a state of rest, the malady is given the name, techycardia.

An overful stomach, flatulence and constipation are contributory factors in Heart Palpitation (tachycardia) and must be dealt with before treatment can start. If the patient is a smoker, he should give it up or severely restrict it. One of the little known medical facts is that the consumption of one cigarette raise the pulse rate by 5 per minute. If the patient is unable to give up smoking he should be advised to change over to hookah, pipe and cigars in that order. The rice paper which is used as covering for the cigarettes is the real villain of the piece since tobacco consumed in any other form is not so harmful. The following medicines are advised for a patient suffering from Heart Palpitation (techycardia)
