Causes and Symptoms of Enlargement of the Prostate Gland
The prostate gland lies at the neck of the bladder in men (the female body does not have it) and surrounds that part of the urethra lying within the pelvis. The gland is of importance especially because in late life it is apt to increase in size and change in shape in such a way as to obstruct the exit of urine from the bladder. The patient, strains himself without being able to eject the urine. The urine may come out in drops the patient visits the toilet frequently and comes out with a feeling that he will have to pass urine. Modern medicine advises surgical interference (removal. of the gland altogether) for the condition, but there are some home remedies which deal effectively with this condition.
